Unable to get to BIOS and boot from USB with Advantech/Lanner


Some of Verizon's devices (Lanner and Advantech) are configured with "Console Redirection Settings">"Bits per second" as 9600 and "Legacy Console Redirection Settings">"Redirect After POST"  is set to "BootLoader" in BIOS


Issue 1: Unable get access BIOS/POST screen

Step 1: Console to the device with speed 9600



Step 2: Navigate to "Advanced --> "Console Redirection Settings" and change the "Bits per second" to 115200




Step 3: "Save and Exit" post which you should be able to console with speed 115200 and access the BIOS


Issue 2: Unable to boot (no "boot:" prompt) from USB though the drive is detected by BIOS

Step 1: Navigate to "Advanced --> "Legacy Console Redirection Settings" 


Step 2: Change the "Redirect After POST" to  Always Enable



Step 3: "Save and Exit"
