This article describes the upgrade procedure of Versa Analytics node from 16.1-R1 GA release to 16.1- R2 S5 release.
While upgrading the Analytics Cluster, you need to follow the same procedure for upgrade. However, Versa Analytics nodes are required to be upgraded prior to the Search nodes.
Prerequisite:
- Versa Analytics node is already up and running with 16.1R-1 GA release analytics software.
- “Versa Analytics 16.1R-2S5 release bin file” is already downloaded and present in the path /home/versa in Versa Analytics node.
- Node with search personality is considered for upgrade in this document.
- Ensure that the “Versa Analytics 16.1R-1 GA release bin file” is present in /home/versa or /home/versa/packages folder so that in case of any issues during upgrade process, Versa Analytics nodes should be able to fallback to previous release that is 16.1R1 GA release.
- Check the current release in the analytics system using command “show system package-info” via cli.
- Verify that the bin package of the release (to which system needs to be upgraded to) is present in the /home/versa/packages directory of the analytics node as shown below.
- Execute the command “sudo bash ” from the analytics shell to start the upgrade process as shown below:
- After completion of upgrade, the shell prompt will reappear, from the shell prompt execute command “vsh start” as shown below:
- Verify that all the process are up and running using command “vsh status ”as shown below.
- Ensure that the system is successfully upgraded to new version using command “show system package-info” from the cli as shown below:
